Our story

American princess meets French cowboy.

After a few emoji exchanges and some vocal notes discussing which city they preferred between LA, DC and Paris, Boris and Sarah met up for dinner—in the 7th arrondissement, where Sarah once lived. On that first date, he pretended he liked cocktails and she expressed surprise after he strongly insisted on his love for Ketchup and Coke Zero (he has since sobered up).

Soon, they were trading books and restaurant recommendations, enjoying long shopping afternoons as a team. But time spent together is really what they were craving, even when that meant spending a weekend in Fécamp, Le Mans, or Angers—mid-size French cities that are not known to be tourist hotspots, but where they created fond memories. Their stays in DC and Drôme with their families are also favorites of theirs since they involve quality time with loved ones, lots of desserts, card games, concerts, museum trips, car rides with country songs blasting and... more shopping.

He is impressed by her art production and acting career—they love to act out scenes together on weekends and even started singing lessons as a couple. Always planning their next trip to Italy, they collect speeding tickets in languages they don't speak. They love their Marais neighborhood, which is central to Boris’ political life—a good excuse to take a walk or check out a new business (bonus points for ice cream parlors).

They define their couple as creative, animated and cuddly.

Wedding theme?

We feel so lucky to have you in our lives! We have been and will always be excited to share moments with you, yesterday, today and tomorrow. This is why this wedding is a three-part event: we'll be celebrating the future, the present and the past, traveling through time!

Celebrating the future

We can't wait to grow together and see what we can make of what life has in store for us.

Celebrating the present

Sometimes, it's not easy to let go and enjoy. We wanted to dedicate a moment to living in the now!

Celebrating the past

We are grateful to the amazing people we have met and the great friends we have made. Belles Rives is just the place to celebrate French-American history and friendship.
